Thoughts from Chief Designer Espen Thorup
"You can drive the Enduro 830 at high speed even in tough sea conditions. I think that's why we won Best for Fun. It was raining and blowing around 18 m/s when the journalists tested the boat. Everyone came back to the dock with a smile, surprised by how hard they could push it in those conditions.
"The Enduro 830 has impressive handling characteristics and is very forgiving. Many boats lose their grip in sharp, fast turns, but this one holds the line from entry to exit. It's a boat you feel safe in – even when you're pushing the limits.
"The Enduro 830 could just as easily have fit into the categories Best for Beginners, Best for Families, and Best for Adventure. It covers many different needs on the water. But given the driving pleasure people clearly experienced, the jury made the right call.
"This is perhaps the best boat we've ever made, in our best series," he says, referring to the 830 series which includes the archipelago jeep Enduro 830, the daycruiser Noblesse 830, and the pilothouse boat Coupe 830.
"What impresses me most is that people say we deserved this award. When you hear that from others, it means a lot. You obviously care about the products you make, but when others feel the same way – that means even more."
Espen emphasises that the credit belongs to the entire Nordkapp team. "It has been a team effort. I am very proud of the team at Nordkapp and Frydenbø, and I have personally thanked the production team for the effort they have put in."

"This has been a fantastic achievement and a true team effort," says Marketing Manager Mats Hjørnevik. "It means a great deal to us and reflects our ongoing work to improve and develop our boats."
The Best for Fun category had five nominees. The Enduro 830 competed against the De Antonio 29, Wellcraft 38 T-Top, Sea Ray SDX 270, and Four Winns H9.
