Frydenbø Industri establishes a sales office in Ulsteinvik

PRESS RELEASE 29.01.2021: Frydenbø Industri AS delivers propulsion engines and generator sets to the maritime industry. They see Northwest Norway as a very attractive area for both motor sales and service activities.

Frydenbø Industri already have locations in Ålesund, Bergen, Oslo, Øksfjord, Havøysund and Norrkøping, Sweden. In order to better offer complete engine and generator solutions to the shipping industry, they are now also establishing a sales office at Borgstein in Ulsteinvik - together with other strong maritime players.

"We want to be closer to our customers and to assist in the maritime cluster in the Northwest", says Are Davidsen, senior sales engineer in ship engines at Frydenbø Industri in Ulsteinvik. Are has a broad background as a machinist, and in recent years, he has worked with ship design in Western Norway.

Frydenbø supplies ship engines and generator sets in the range from 734 kW to 10,000 kW, represented by Anglo Belgian Corporation, and from 95 kW to 1650 kW from the French manufacturer Baudouin. ABC also supplies engines for pure hydrogen operations and as duo-fuel solutions with diesel/hydrogen.

In cooperation with ABC and Baudouin, Frydenbø delivers complete deliveries that comply with the strict environmental requirements with IMO Tier III.

Frydenbø Industri AS, is where the adventure began 104 years ago. The industrial group is one of Norway's leading suppliers of products and services to the marine/land-based industry. Important revenue streams are service and the delivery of parts to the professional maritime market, which are served from the locations in Oslo, Bergen, Ålesund, Øksfjord and Havøysund. In 2019, Frydenbø Industri established its own service office in Sweden.
